Recommended for: Any rider looking for a go to park mitten that will take you from the winter to spring with a durable leather palm and great style. The Park Mitten is on the higher end of the cost spectrum for a mitten in this category.

The Park Mitten performance and review: 






CG Habitats (CandyGrind) has a strong line of technical mittens and gloves for snowboarders. After using the handbag mitten last year I wanted to try the slightly lower priced park mitten. As with all of CG Habitats line of mittens and gloves, the park mitten has some great color options to choose from, with detailed accents on the leather palm and a metal CG logo on each mitten. I chose the tree-camo-black color in a size medium to test. These mittens fit true to size and the stitching appears to be very durable and has held up to hand drags, falls and most normal circumstances I put mittens through during the season. They provide above average warmth, the insulation is just about right for temperatures ranging from the low teens up to about 40 to 45 degrees. 


The park mitts are very comfortable and are easy to adjust while riding. The silicon grip on the palm and the thumb are great additions to keep you locked into grabs when you’re getting some air time during park laps. So far the park mittens have held up to my abuse and all the conditions I’ve tested them in. While there are lower cost mittens out there that will provide the same level of warmth, these are stylish and so far have proven to be more durable than other mittens in the same category from Dakine and a few other manufacturers I’ve tried. The low profile under mitt style of the park mitten is very appealing and that’s why I have preferred to use these mittens for most winter days this season. 

Overall impressions: If you’re looking for a stylish low profile mitten that will take you through most winter and spring park days that is slightly more expensive than other mittens out there these will keep you warm and dry whenever you put them on.
